Novograd wooden hand carved jewelry box, keepsake box, jewelry storage

This hand carved jewellery box has been made out of apple wood decorated with pattern from Novograd. Perfect for jewellery storage or keepsake box. It was hand painted and hand sanded. Finished using only natural, historically appropriate materials. Pattern source : Floral relief from the outer side of wooden board used for writing-carving in wax with a graver. Found in Novgorod (Russia) end of XI c. Probably property of the rich merchant. Crafted from apple tree. The lid has hand carved pattern.
