This hand carved wax tablet is a copy of archaeological find from early medieval Novgorod, end of 11 century. It's perfect for Viking and medieval re-enactment. Perfect gift for him and for her and also nice home decor. Wax tablets were used from ancient Roman and Greek times through the renaissance for everything from art design to industry records and inventory. They are panels of wood, carved out and filled with pigmented bee's wax. These are great for SCA members, renaissance festival enthusiasts, and anybody who needs a note pad.
